Folkestone & Hythe District Council (F&HDC) has closed the Civic Centre in Folkestone until further notice in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19.

The decision was made last night (23 March) following the Prime Minister’s statement calling for people to stay at home except for a number of very limited purposed such as shopping for essentials.

Residents can still call or go online to access information about our services, with all but essential members of staff now working from home in these unprecedented times.

These measures are in place to protect those living in the district and to ensure essential services are available for those living in the district – particularly the vulnerable.

Lifeline is still functioning for our existing clients, but will not be taking on new clients or carrying out any new installations. This decision will be reviewed in three weeks.
