Post 16 results day at The Marsh Academy brought another excellent year to an end for our Year 12 & 13 students.Principal Shaun Simmons said: “These results are a huge credit to our students and the staff who have supported them. We had a 99% pass rate and an increasing number of students gaining 3 or more Academic A-Levels.  In fact, 32.5% of our results for Year 13 students were at the highest possible grades (A/A* or Distinction/Distinction*).When you combine these academic results with all of the other excellent work and experiences our Post 16 students have undertaken this year, we cannot fail to be both proud and impressed by their achievements.” This year’s high achievers include Rebecca Christmas who is leaving the academy with A Level grades: A*AAA in English Literature, Psychology, Sociology and History and Charmian Simmons who achieved ABB & Distinction* and will now go on to University of East Anglia to study Drama. Other successful university places gained include Charlotte Worrell who will be going to Brighton University to study English, Andrew Finlay will study Physics at Royal Holloway, Sarah May will study Sociology at Bournemouth and Ben Simmonds is off to Bangor to study Economics.
