In response to popular demand, the New Romney Country Fayre Committee will be holding a Cockney Night on Friday 5th May at the Heywood Buffet at New Romney Station of the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway.
Entertainment will be provided by Cockney Entertainer extraordinaire, Gordon Bennett whose repertoire includes lots of old singalong favourites. Doors will open at 7.00 pm for a 7.30 pm start. Tickets are £15.00 each and include a Great British supper of bangers and mash, with a bar available to purchase alcoholic drinks, teas and coffees. There will also be a raffle.

All money raised will go towards this year’s New Romney Country Fayre, which will be held on Saturday 29th July. It costs around £11,000 to stage this event and the volunteer organising committee have to raise this every year. Plans are well underway with a number of new arena performers, many new parade entrants and lots of new stalls. This year’s parade theme will be Children’s Books.
