hythe vfWANTED: another hundred people to help with the arrangements for this year’s Hythe Venetian Fete on Wednesday, August 19. The organisers – the not-for-profit Venetian Fete Society – has already signed up two hundred volunteers for duties which range from selling programmes and providing information to stewarding at gates and in spectator enclosures.
Said Society vice-chairman Ken Crowe: “Making sure that spectators have an enjoyable time is a task our volunteers always do supremely well. It would not be possible to stage the Venetian Fete without them. This year’s five-hour, family-fun show is planned to be the best yet and some more helping hands would be useful”.
Information is available from the Venetian Fete ticket office, at Blue Shield Insurance, Prospect Road, Hythe.
