Last Wednesday saw the celebration of Kathleen Bowls 106th Birthday
Kathleen who is a resident of Lindau Care Home in New Romney was quick to thank the staff for making her birthday so special.
She told The Looker: “Its lovely here and they all make such a fuss of me”
Kathleen who originates from Tenterden has a strong ties with the local area and told us how during the war she was part of the Land Army taking on farming duties and to this day recalls having to learn how to milkathleen Bowlsk a cow, she said: “it was quite daunting, they were so big, when you sat on the stool, they towered above you, but I soon got the hang of it, I had one favourite that I used to call Daisy”.
Kathleen has been at Lindau for several years now and is described as ‘the life and soul of the party, with an amazing memory for events and people.
The Looker would like to wish Kathleen a truly amazing lady a very happy birthday
