RMS_brettdebbie10357281-exterior-christmas-lights_s4x3_lgResidents and businesses in Lydd who enjoy lighting up the outside of their properties should ensure they are all lit up by 14 December for the Lydd in Lights Competition 2015.
Judges of displays – Councillors Clive Goddard and Ms Dawson – will tour the town and coastal areas during the week to find the homes which are the brightest and best in Lydd.
Cllr. Goddard said: “Excited parishioners are telling me their plans are well under way for the judging of their displays this year. This competition brings some fun and happiness to Lydd, and it certainly brightens the roads up during the long, dark December nights – and also benefits local businesses who try to win a prize”.
The lucky winner will be awarded a voucher for £50 to spend locally in time for Christmas.
This is the third year of the competition and the number of properties joining in to light up Lydd has increased every year.
