Black billowing smoke was seen wafting over the English channel at Lunchtime today, as a trailer burst into flames parked near the garage of a large new luxury house at Littlestone.
Although the house seemed to escape most of the damage, signs of charred cladding was vissable from the road.
In a statement Kent Fire and Rescue Service said; “Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a motorbike and trailer on fire on a driveway at a property at Madeira Road, Littlestone, New Romney. The bike and trailer were fully alight and three fire engines attended to bring the blaze under control. The motorbike and trailer were destroyed by the fire. A woman was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and taken into the care of SECAmb paramedics. The cause of the fire is not yet known.”
