A themed ball held at the Hythe Imperial Hotel has helped to raise £20,818 for the work of mental health charity MIND in Kent.

The ball followed Michelle’s recent successful climb of Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa in aid of the charity.

Michelle Healey said: “I’m overwhelmed with what has been achieved and what it means for the work of MIND.

“My brother and father both struggled with mental illness during their lives and I wanted to do my bit to support this important charity. For many sufferers it continues to be a silent illness and often shows no visible wounds, but it still devastates lives and loved ones.”
