Local pressure groups congregated at the Shepway District Council offices in Folkestone today (Saturday 3rd December) to protest against plans by the Council to push through three controversial planning proposals to build in the district

The Otterpool New Town, with 12,000 new houses

The Operation Stack Lorry Park at Westenhanger

And the Princes Parade development in Hythe.

The general consensus was that the councillors are not listening to the electorate and that something needs to be done now, to stop these green field major construction sights.
