Kent Police is appealing for information into the whereabouts of a woman reported missing from Romney Marsh.

Local residents were aroused early this morning when search and rescue helicopters started flying over St Mary’s Bay, using Thermal imaging cameras.

Officers are concerned for the welfare of Paula Rand, aged 50, who was last seen in the St Mary’s Bay area at 12.30pm on Wednesday 14 October. She is described as white, 5ft 4in tall, of medium build and with brown/ginger shoulder length hair. She is thought to have been wearing a dark coloured Barbour jacket and beige shoes.

Throughout the search more and more search police and members of the Kent Search and Rescue Teams (KSAR) helped to look across the Marsh as far away as Greatstone, with the help of the Kent Police Helicopter.
