Around 500 people attended the annual Sandgate fete today (Sunday) and enjoyed a great traditional family day out with something for everyone.
The afternoon was boosted by a fantastic band playing 60’s classics and also had dance displays showcasing a local street dance club.
Other attractions included seven inflatable’s, which the fete committee came up with a fantastic ticket option for children £3.50 for unlimited goes all day, along with trials with street juggling.
The day finished of with a tug-o-war between the Sandgate ‘Boules team’ and members of the audience.
The sound System and commentary for the day was again provided by The Looker, David Wimble said; “this is what a community event is all about, it was a fantastic atmosphere and something for all the family, with the great weather I think everyone went home very happy, the event was again organised by the Sandgate Parish Council who all put in a lot of work to make the day such a success.”
