Three people have been arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation in New Romney.
During the evening of Thursday 2 November 2017, Kent Police patrols in the area attended a residential property in Carey Close, New Romney, and seized a quantity of cannabis, as well as scales, and associated growing equipment.
A 40-year-old woman, an 18-year-old man, and a 48-year-old man, all from the New Romney area, were arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.
They have been released pending further enquiries.
Detective Sergeant Nicky Holland-Day said: ‘Our officers will not tolerate drug-related criminality and we recognise the negative impact it can have on a community.
‘We remind residents that if they believe drug-taking or supplying is taking place in their local street, or in an area near to them, call us to report it on 101.
‘The information you provide is important and will assist officers in identifying any areas of concern, and will ultimately ensure Shepway remains a safe place to live and work.’
