Kent Police officers are appealing for witnesses following a report of an assault in Hythe.

hythe fun fairThe assault is alleged to have taken place at a fairground in Cinque Ports Avenue between 7pm and 7.20pm on Saturday 22 April 2017.

The victim, a teenager, suffered facial injuries and was treated at a local hospital. She has since been discharged.
Two girls, 14 and 15, from Folkestone have been arrested in connection with the incident and released pending further enquiries.
Investigating officer Detective Constable James Leggett said: ‘We believe there were a number of people at the scene who may have witnessed the incident and we ask them to come forward as they could have important information that could help with our investigation.’
